The laboratory adapts to customer needs to be able to receive and analyze different types of samples on liquid or solid matrices, including those marked radiologically. This implies setting up methodologies for the preparation and processing of particular samples, thus making it possible to respond to each request.
Achieving the quantification limits requested by customers in loaded or radioactive matrices are difficulties that the laboratory must be able to meet.
With 40 years of experience in analytical development for internal and external needs, the laboratory is able to adapt to meet a specific customer need.
Thanks to its diversified equipment, the laboratory carries out analyses of organic parameters. For this purpose, it has the following means at its disposal: chromatography, GC-MS, UV-visible spectrometry, infrared spectrometry, TOC-meter, potentiometry, discrete analysers, continuous flow analysers, specific analysers, etc.
Most of the equipment is equipped with sample changers for semi-automatic analysis of large quantities of samples.
The laboratory is able to carry out standardised leaching tests and all the analyses required by the authorities for the determination of both physico-chemical and radioactive elements.

The laboratory di CIME has been accredited by COFRAC on chemical, physico-chemical and radioactivity measurements in environmental samples (detailed scope available on the website www.cofrac.fr N°1-5873) since 1996 and is recognized in the Orano group for its expertise.
The laboratory has also been characterizing aqueous, organic and solid waste for many years.
The laboratory is able to analyse up to 200,000 parameters per year for the needs of the Orano group and external customers.
