Centrifuge Process
Enrichment process in which a gaseous mixture of isotopes is spun at very high speed and centrifugal force is used to modify the composition of the mixture.
Conditioning
- Fuel conditioning: special treatment for spent fuel to prepare it for interim storage or final disposal. Includes compact storage, drying, stabilization and packaging. - Waste conditioning, waste immobilization: operation involving conversion of waste into a form suitable for shipment and/or interim storage and/or final disposal. Very low-level radioactive waste (plastic sheeting, cleaning rags, etc.) is conditioned in steel drums. Low- and medium-level waste is reduced in volume as much as possible and immobilized, i.e., encapsulated in a special material (concrete, bitumen or resin) that converts it into a solid block that can withstand the effects of its surrounding environment. High-level waste is immobilized in glass in a process known as vitrification. Vitrified waste is conditioned in stainless steel canisters.

Consolidation
Consolidation is an accounting transaction in which the financial reports of all subsidiaries are combined to draw up the group’s consolidated balance sheet.
Containment area
When a facility is to contain radioactive materials, a series of containment barriers is placed between the materials inside the facility and the environment outside the facility during construction. This creates separate areas called "containment areas"
